FAQ's

How long does a typical photo shoot take?
It usually takes about an hour. This gives us time to work with a variety of poses as well as different backgrounds and lighting conditions.

When will we be able to see our proofs?
Photos are usually viewable online 3-4 days after your shoot and 5-7 days after your wedding. If this is not convenient, contact us and we will make other arrangements.

Do we make payments or pay the full amount at contract signing? What types of payment do you accept?
You can certainly pay the full coverage fee at the time you return the signed contract. However, we understand that a payment plan can be of added value and convenience to you. If you choose to pay in installments, as stated in our contract, we ask that one third of the total coverage fee is paid at the time of the contract signing. This amount is a nonrefundable retainer that assures that we reserve the date for your wedding. Any other requests for that date will then be refused. The second payment (one third of the total cost) is due 2 weeks before the wedding, with the final payment due when you receive your proofs.

We accept cash, personal checks, cashier's checks and money orders.

Can I pay for my sitting fee and pictures online?
Yes. Your sitting fee is due before the shoot and can be paid by cash or check at the time of the shoot, or, prepaid by credit card (through Paypal).

How long will it take to get my pictures?
Your prints will be ready two to three weeks from your final portrait and package selection. Sometimes sooner.

How many pictures do you usually take?
I do not limit the number of pictures I will take. I will work with you until we have the quality images that you expect from your photographer.

Do you take black and white pictures?
I shoot digital media which means that we can either shoot in color (which can be eaily converted into black and white images) or shoot in true monochrome digital black and white.

What is a Mounted Print?
A Mounted print is adhered to a firm matboard to prevent bubbling and wrinkling over time. I strongly suggest mounting all prints that are 11x14 or larger. This also creates a very nice finished product when you place the picture in a frame with no glass in front of it to distract from the image. No glass means no glare from any angle!

Do you do any "airbrushing"?
Yes, I do photo retouching. I can retouch your images to give you just the look you want; whiter teeth, complexion smoothing, wrinkle/line removal, blemish removal, etc. I provide the facial retouching as a FREE service to my customers because I want you to be as proud of your pictures as I am. Additionally, most pictures can be tinted or toned to your liking. Photo retouching will add some time to your order processing. Pricing for other retouching services can be found on our pricing page.

What should we wear?
Generally, the simpler, the better. Distracting patterns and prints take away from a quality portrait. Solid colors work best. If we are shooting a group portrait, similar clothing helps the composition of the portrait. The main thing is to feel comfortable and confident as this will come across in your images.

What should I bring to the shoot?
For children, you might want their picture taken with their favorite toy or “blankey”. Otherwise, you should only have to bring any grooming items such as combs, hairspray, etc.

Can I bring a pet?
Yes. Pets are a part of your family and can be included if you wish. They do require additional time to work with so please let us know if you plan on bringing Fido to the shoot.

Where is your studio?
My studio is in my home in Arlington, TX. I also shoot on location if you have one in mind. Many of the portraits that you see on this website are shot outside. If you prefer an outdoor portrait, I can suggest locations that are convenient to you.

Do you do special events?
Yes, I am available for special events. See the pricing page for more information.

What if I want an item that is not included on your pricing page?
If you don't see an item in our pricing page that you'd like us to include or get for you, please don't hesitate to contact us and let us know.
